The most sound that ever filled the place was the soft clinking of plates and silverware and occasional chatter among groups. Other than that, it was a pretty dull and lifeless job.
Until sometime two weeks ago, or maybe three, he didn’t really remember, a young (and incredibly charming) businessman started coming on Wednesdays and Fridays. Taemin was the first to serve him, nearly spilling boiling hot coffee onto him because he was busy staring at the man’s face rather than his cup. Thankfully Key grabbed Taemin’s wrist just in time, sparing him the lifetime of embarrassment he’d surely feel afterwards.

Minho sighed heavily and resisted the urge to roll his eyes as he padded down the hallway, soccer cleats leaving muddy tracks that would no doubt piss off the janitor. Honestly, the wound on his knee was just a scratch but the coach just couldn’t afford for his star player to “be done for the count” when game season rolled around. It was starting to annoy the hell out of Minho, because at the slightest paper cut the coach would send him over to the nurse and the said star player would lose that much more time he could spend practicing. Hell, for all the time these injury trips were taking, he wouldn’t even be the star player by the time it was time for the actual season.
There was only one upside to his little predicament…
“Choi-sshi?” A soft voice called in recognition, adorable brown eyes widening as they confirmed his presence. Minho took a moment to bask in the moment, letting his dark, round eyes rake up the other’s lithe form decked out yet again in a pristine white apron that was tied securely around his tiny waist – it suited him.
“Taemin,” He said by way of greeting, all smiles as he took a step into the nurse’s office. Instantly he was limping in overdramatic dragging strides, pulling his best I’m-so-injured face just because he loved watching the other boy rush to his side, lean into the curve of his body and hoist one of Minho’s big arms over his bony shoulders so he could help the elder to one of the thin uniform cots.
“Are you alright?” Taemin asked softly, as he did almost every other day, a blush darkening his cheeks as Minho wrapped an arm around him for ‘support’. Minho flashed the younger boy a blinding grin.
“I don’t know. I think you’re going to have to lay me down, nurse.”
Minho winked and Taemin simply blinked at him for a long moment before escorting him silently to an empty bed, making the soccer player sigh. Ah well, what could you expect from the nurse’s son? There was no way someone shy and naïve like Taemin would ever-
“I hope you’re okay with a few more bruises.” A familiar voice whispered in his ear, hot enough to make Minho shiver. Slim hands were working their way up his toned thighs, tugging down his soccer shorts and the last thing he registered was Taemin’s apron slipping off before he was lost.
It was safe to say that when Minho made his way back to the field, his limp was one hundred percent real.
